Believe it or not, we enter the 2 quarter of the season with this coming weekend.
And in my opinion, this unusual year has settled the back-n-forth over the ‘should-we-or-should-we-not-have-a-preseason?’ fuss.
The answer is clear: Yes, we should.
Look, we all know that there are Winners and losers, good teams and bad teams. But all teams are not compiled equally.
I think we’ve seen our fair share of sloppy play out’ve some squads. And there are other outfits that are trying to integrate new coaching staffs and/or systems.
Also there are franchises that have young rosters that need all the extra reps they can get.
Yes, this isn’t a typical year. That goes without saying. And I know we’re all glad to have football period(!).
And I’m not complaining. What I am doing is pointing out that these circumstances settle the argument against having a Preseason.
The League clearly needs it to round players into shape, if for nothing else. Exhibit A would be the cascade of injuries we’ve seen in the early weeks. Several camps have noticed this.
Not to mention, there seem to be a few more Winless teams than normal this time of year.
And I mentioned all of that to underscore that (even though those 1st four games counted) now the teams have a “preseason” under their belt. Let’s hope we get high quality football going forward.

This is so the field can be compiled and posted before Kickoff of that night’s ballgame (since The League Week begins with the TNF game).

Also, make sure to select the total combined points that you think will be scored in the Monday Night game. That’s the tiebreaker.

That’s it. Make your picks and give them to me by Thursday 3p.m. EDT. You can hand them to me, email them, text them (or use smoke signals). Hell, I don’t care. Whatever.
