Week 2 starts tonight.
And I dunno about you, but I been waitin’ all day for Thursday Night! If you can’t tell, I am looking forward to this game with a little more anticipation…
Besides, Thursday nights begin the Pro Football League’s week. This is the reason why I bother you for your picks.
Since we pick the whole schedule each week, the Thursday Night ballgame locks us in (in case you was wondering).
So…some of our vets will tell you that the weeks tend to go by in a blur once we get things going. And naturally we’ll build on our numbers as far as participants in the pool.
Just like clockwork, that’s what happened this week. We have grown.

Sure, that makes things a little more competitive. But that also builds bigger pots & leads to more FUN following the action.
There is cash at stake (of course), but this pool is designed to be FUN. Yes, I emphasized it twice because to me that’s crucial.
The truth is if you are inclined towards hardcore sports betting, there are better places to scratch that itch.
But the Pick’Em is about having fun in a friendly competition to Win some money. This is how I see our thing.

(for those that don’t know: when wagering moolah, once the pot is considered “right” that means that the Winner can expect to gain that amount. In other words, “the house” is guaranteeing that specific amount in the prize pool. Regardless of what happens, if you Win you get that money – no excuses)

- the underdog pick this week has Thelma C, Sean M & Nisa D taking Minnesota to go on the road and beat Arizona in the desert. The board is pretty low on the purple people after that Week 1 loss. Good luck you three!
- the reining Champ is Saundra R, who had a thrilling Win on the strength of that epic Monday Night clash. The first Champion of the new season!
