Another fabulous week of the Football Pick ‘Em has come to an end.

And with it, the time has come  to crown our Champion.

Before we get to that, let me just say that this is what I cherish: a close, spirited competition that comes down to the Monday Night ballgame to decide things.

Quite a mouthful, but it still holds.

If I had my way I’d make damn sure every week went to the wire, just like it has for Week 12.

Of course competition (by nature) is unpredictable: that’s the whole point of this affair.

We’re all trying to predict what is inherently an unpredictable series of events.

I don’t have to tell you how much this resembles betting on a coin flip.

Such is the nature of Pro Football nowadays.  Just when ya think ya know a thing, something crazy happens.

Better yet, as Al Michaels has said famously “Nobody knows anything.”

But nevertheless, we did crown a champion tonight.

And this week’s Champ Won an epic contest!

For starters, we had a seven-way tie to start our Sunday (after the early games), that paired down to a three-way deadlock from the late games into tonight’s matchup.

Honestly, the game itself wouldn’t have been compelling if not for the Pick’ Em.

And with the game going to the wire things got pretty exciting!

So, by virtue of a Chicago Victory our Champion Won on the points tiebreaker.

Now let’s give it up for one of our Veteran Football Pick ‘Em Champions
