Week 15 is now in the books.

And this is unbelievable.

We have another tie at the top, folks.

If you missed it, we encountered this exact same scenario at the end of Week 13 too.

How many times can this happen in one season??

Anyways, here we go.

As was the case in Week 13, we’re headed for the Tiebreaker Format.

So…Tiebreaker #1:

1. Points

The Monday Night Game is the tiebreaker.  Simply predict the total combined points scored in the ballgame.  If there is a tie, whomever is closet to the actual score Wins.

There is no penalty for guessing a higher total than the score.  Once again, the closest pick to the final score Wins.

Alright.  No advantage for either party.  On to Tiebreaker #2:

2. Winning Percentage

If #1 doesn’t get it, this one will.

Although this is the first mention of this on the site, the Winning percentage  has been calculated for each week this season and overall.

That means that if you got 10 out of 16 games right, your Winning percentage is 63% (rounding up).

I’ve gotta change this one in the Offseason.  Once again; no advantage for either party.  On to Tiebreaker #3:

3. Underdog Picks

Going this far should be rare.  But just in case this tiebreaker involves use of the points spread.

Let’s see if this resolves matters.

Once more, I will refer to the Week 13 post:

Underdog picks are defined as the teams that were not favored to Win actually Winning.

So, whomever got the most underdog picks correct Wins the week & the dough.

Welp.  No dice.  both players correctly picked the same number of underdog Wins, with two apiece.

This is unbelievable.  On to Tiebreaker #4:

4. Record Versus The Spread

There’s that dreaded S word again!

Look, the reality is that Football Pick ‘Em is a form of betting on Pro Football.

If all else has failed to break a tie between players, then the betting line will definitely do it.

It’s pretty straightforward people: in an intractable tie, the best record against the spread prevails.

So…who’s it gonna be?  (lines are courtesy of Vegas Insider, because ESPN didn’t have all the games)

To make things simple, if the pick was correct but pushed, I counted it anyway.  Ok?

This is unbelievable.  Both players went an identical 13-3 against the spread!

This has never happened before.

On to Tiebreaker #5:

5. Best Record ATS Overall

And if that doesn’t do it, this damn sure better!

If two (or more players) remain tied through FOUR LEVELS OF TIEBREAKERS then yes, best record against the spread (ATS) will ultimately crown our Champion.

Straight up, I never expect things to get here.

(This is the silver bullet scenario.)

I’m putting a twist on this one!

One of these two players will be our first repeat Champion this year.

One Player Won Week 2.  The other Player Won Week 13.

Let’s break the tie.

The twist is I’m going to take the record against the spread in the week of each player’s Victory.  The player with the better record Wins Week 15!

This one is tricky, because 16 games were played in Week 2 while 13 games were played in Week 13.  Comparing those numbers straight up is problematic.

But these numbers can be converted to percentages.

And with a Winning percentage of .846 versus .812, the Winner of Week 15 is
