Week 6: The Field Is Set

It’s time for Week 6.

**ANNOUNCEMENT: I am going to The Beltway Bowl this Sunday.  There will be a Late Game and Sunday Night update ONLY!**

Seems like we were so excited for the dawn of the season, and now we’re six weeks in.

Man, where does the time go?  Honestly, football season always flies by to me – so I may not be the best person to ask.

With the arrival of week, we have already had one of three consecutive London games & now teams start taking their Bye Weeks.

That means there’s only 14 games on tap in Week 6, so things may get a bit tighter.

Also, we’re welcoming in more new players.  For you new guys, here’s an except from a past post that may serve you well:

…it’s important that we all have an understanding of how things work.

The bottom line is in The Football Pick ‘Em there are no ties.  Our experienced hands around here know this well.

So…in the event of a tie (which is virtually guaranteed throughout this season), we use the points in the Monday Nighter to determine our Winner.

If that doesn’t get it…on to the tiebreakers.

There’s no need to remember anything; the point is that you are aware of the contingencies in place to ensure a single Winner.

Because in The Football Pick ‘Em there are No Split Pots!  It’s kinda our thing.

Alright.

If you have any further questions, please ask.  I am always willing to explain, clarify, and help.  Whatever I can do to help in any way would be my pleasure.

Sound good?  Good.  Let’s get to it.

This is our biggest field of the year, folks!  We have 50 players shooting at a pot of $250.

Pot’s right.

(for those that don’t know: when wagering moolah, once the pot is considered “right” that means that the Winner can expect to gain that amount.  In other words, the house” is guaranteeing that specific amount in the prize pool.  Regardless of what happens, if you Win you get that money – no excuses)

Here’s this week’s field:

FOR THE WEEK

  • the pot is $250
  • there are 50 players
  • there are no unanimous picks this week, but a lotta players like Green Bay, Houston & Buffalo.
  • honestly, there really isn’t a notable underdog pick this week.  Several players have picked Arizona, Las Vegas & Carolina.  The way this year is going, all three teams may Win on Suday
  • the reining Champ is Bock, who held on Monday Night to Win on points.  I’ve said it and I’ll keep saying it: the points can literally be the difference between Winning and Losing (choose wisely).  Great job Bock!

ANNOUNCEMENT: while I do my best to get each & every pick correct, sometimes I make mistakes.  If I do mess up, just reach out to me (you can leave a comment below the post & I’ll fix it ASAP).  I need to know before the affected game Kicks Off, otherwise, that puts the rest of the field at a competitive disadvantage.  Sound good?

Alrighty.  Let’s get it on!

Enjoy the games everybody.  And Good Luck.
