This was truly an epic, epic weekend of Playoff Football!
And now we’re down to four.
I can’t remember the last time BOTH the Divisional games went down to the wire. The intensity, the huge stakes, the physical, intense struggle in each contest…
That’s why Pro Football is king. And these Playoffs have not disappointed one bit.
The best part is these outcomes are so unpredictable (speaking solely for myself).
Anyhow, you know what this is about: the time has come to crown our Pick ‘Em Champion.
For The Divisional, our Winner outlasted the majority of the field on the weekend, going a perfect 4-for-4.
I did say the majority, because there was one challenger that also called the whole round correctly.
And you know what that means…
It’s tiebreaker time!
Look – at this point of the season, all parties involved know how we do things: no split pots!
That means we must determine a sole Winner.
For our criteria, let’s revisit the post publishing the pick sheet:
The Winner will be the person that gets the most games right. So the order will be:
* Total number of games picked. You pick the most games correctly, you Win
* If the game totals are the same, then the person with the most points from Winning seeds Wins
* Total points scored in the last matchup is the 3rd tiebreaker. This order alone should determine a Champion
Because two players correctly called all four games, the points tiebreaker for the Baltimore/Buffalo game will decide this round.
With that, the margin of separation was One Point. Since the total points scored in the aforementioned game was 52, the closest player (as we have done all year) Wins the pot.
Therefore, one player had 60 for the total points, and the other had 43. And since 60 points is closer to 52, that player Wins.
So, our Football Pick ‘Em Divisional Playoff Champion is
