Man, am I glad Football is back!

The ups.  The downs.  The exhilaration & delight…also the dejection & misery one feels -sometimes on the same drive!

Watching a Football game with a rooting interest can be one helluva rollercoaster, but that’s only part of it.

It’s the excitement of the games, the community pride in the team, the camaraderie as an outgrowth of that communal spirit – but also the trash talk, the tug-of-war between your group & rival fans…honestly, there’s so many things.

But one thing to be said for sure is it’s nothing quite like Football Season, where a given fan can experience all of these wonderful things!

And then there’s the Pick ‘Em.

I don’t know about you, but the Pick ‘Em adds another layer of excitement and intrigue to the weekly round of ballgames.

Naturally the opening week of the season didn’t disappoint: with all of the craziness of the initial week of games, we got a competitive, spirited contest to begin our year.

And this week’s Champ fought off a tie all the way down to the wire, besting the field by the tiebreaker points from the Monday Night thriller to take the Week One crown!

Not only did our Champ make some great picks (how on earth did you know Chicago & Pittsburgh would Win on The Road??), our Week One Champion nailed the Tiebreaker points total – accurately calling the final cumulative score.

It was one point off, but that’s good enough to take this week’s title!
