Oh boy.  What a week.

This one was epic folks.

I’m not gonna waste time, because we had to go into the tiebreakers & I gotta explain how this went down.

Going into the Monday Night game we had a four-way tie at the top.  Second place  saw eleven players a game back of the lead.

Given those circumstances, the upset in the Monday Night game produced a six-way tie for first!

However, due to the points tiebreaker being dead even between the top two players…

To the tiebreaker format we go.

So Player A was in the top spot going into Monday’s ballgame.  Player B was in second.  At the end of the night both players had the same number of correct picks and the exact same points total.

On to tiebreaker Number 2:

Winning Percentage

Since both players have participated in The Football Pick’Em since Week 7, those are the weeks used to calculate the Win%.

With me so far?  Good.

Now, each player’s head-to-head weeks in the pool looked like this:

Week 7  (13gms)

Player A      9 Wins – 69%
Player B      9 Wins – 69%

Week 8 (15gms)

Player A      6 Wins – 40%

Player  B     9 Wins – 60%

Week 9 (14gms)

Player A       7 Wins – 50%

Player  B      8 Wins – 57%

Of course each player ended this week tied with 8 Wins apiece, for a Win percentage of 57%.

[Remember Winning percentage is calculated by dividing the total number of games by the number of correct picks – those are the raw numbers you see above]

Once more, quoting from the tiebreaker post:

This Win % is then added to every other week you’ve played to get an overall Win percentage.  And that’s the tiebreaker.

Therefore, the overall Winning percentage of the two players is as follows

Player A        –    58%

Player B        –     61%

There it is people.  Player B Wins the week on Winning percentage.  It doesn’t get any closer than that!
