[Archives] Week 4: The Field Is Set

Welcome to Week 4 everyone!

As things stand, we’re right up against the clock so I’ll keep my commentary brief (What can I say?  Some weeks are hectic).

Really the one thing that needs to be mentioned is our tiebreaker format. Click this link to be taken to that page.

Since we have a steady flow of new players–WELCOME NEW PLAYERS–it’s important that we all have an understanding of how things work.

The bottom line is in The Football Pick ‘Em there are no ties.  Our experienced hands around here know this well.

So…in the event of a tie (which is virtually guaranteed throughout this season), we use the points in the Monday Nighter to determine our Winner.

If that doesn’t get it…on to the tiebreakers.

There’s no need to remember anything; the point is that you are aware of the contingencies in place to ensure a single Winner.

Because in The Football Pick ‘Em there are No Split Pots!  It’s kinda our thing.

Alright.  Got it?

Good.  Let’s get started.

This week we have a large pool of 54 players shooting at a $270 pot.

Pot’s right.

(for those that don’t know: when wagering moolah, once the pot is considered “right” that means that the Winner can expect to gain that amount.  In other words, the house” is guaranteeing that specific amount in the prize pool.  Regardless of what happens, if you Win you get that money – no excuses)

Here’s this week’s field:

FOR THE WEEK

  • the pot is $270
  • there are 54 players (we’re growing. me likey)
  • there are no unanimous picks this week, but Green Bay and LAC are heavily favored by our field.
  • the underdog pick this week has Dawson taking visiting New England over host Green Bay.  He is the lone brave soul.  Good luck sir!
  • the reining Champ is Kane, in another wire-to-wire Win.  Strong picks last week Kane – will you be our repeat Champion?

ANNOUNCEMENT: while I do my best to get each & every pick correct, sometimes I make mistakes.  If I do mess up, just reach out to me (you can leave a comment below the post & I’ll fix it ASAP).  I need to know before the affected game Kicks Off, otherwise, that puts the rest of the field at a competitive disadvantage.  Sound good?

Alrighty, enough talk.  It’s almost Kickoff.

Enjoy the game folks.  And good luck.
