Week 5 was so epic, it took Overtime to settle things.
This was a great week for the Football Pick’Em.
The competition was as exciting as ever, with the competition going neck-and-neck all the way to the finish line.
For those that may be unfamiliar with how we do it here, there are no split pots in this league. We will use as many tiebreakers as possible to determine a sole Winner.
And this week saw a three-way tie at the top of the Leaderboard going into Monday’s action. Of course to add to the drama, each player at the top took the same (ultimately Winning) team.
That means we go to the points to settle matters.
And by virtue of an overtime adjusted point total of 51, this week’s Champ Wins in a photo finish by one point!
This week sees not only a new Champion in the Winner’s Circle, but he is also one of our newest players.
Although he was aware of the Pick’Em last year, he decided to give it a try this season.
That proved to be a good decision, as our Champ battled his way into a 1st place tie & went on to Win with the go-ahead Touchdown scored in Overtime of the Monday Nighter.
This week’s Win nets our Champion a prize pool of $200.
