Week 6: The Field Is Set

It’s time for Week 6.

We were so excited for the dawn of the season, and now we’re six weeks in.

Man, where does the time go?  Honestly, football season always flies by to me – so I may not be the best person to ask.

With the arrival of Week 6, we have already had two of the three consecutive London games.  And teams have started taking their Bye Weeks.

That means there’s 15 games on tap in Week 6, so things may be a bit tighter.

Also, we’re welcoming in more new players.  For you new guys, here’s an except from a past post that may serve you well:

…it’s important that we all have an understanding of how things work.

The bottom line is in The Football Pick ‘Em there are no ties.  Our experienced hands around here know this well.

So…in the event of a tie (which is virtually guaranteed throughout this season), we use the points in the Monday Nighter to determine our Winner.

If that doesn’t get it…on to the tiebreakers.

There’s no need to remember anything; the point is that you are aware of the contingencies in place to ensure a single Winner.

Because in The Football Pick ‘Em there are No Split Pots!  It’s kinda our thing.

Alright.

If you have any further questions, please ask.  I am always willing to explain, clarify, and help.  Whatever I can do to help in any way would be my pleasure.

Sound good?  Good.  Let’s get to it.

This is our second biggest field of the year.  We have 73 players shooting at a pot of $365.

Pot’s right.

(for those that don’t know: when wagering moolah, once the pot is considered “right” that means that the Winner can expect to gain that amount.  In other words, the house” is guaranteeing that specific amount in the prize pool.  Regardless of what happens, if you Win you get that money – no excuses)

Here’s this week’s field:

FOR THE WEEK

  • the pot is $365
  • there are 73 players
  • there are no unanimous picks this week, but a lotta players like Indianapolis, Pittsburgh & Buffalo.
  • the underdog pick for the week has Susan M, Dawson, & Daishon taking visiting Cincinnati to score the upset over Green Bay.  Good luck with that pick.
  • the reining Champ is Dawson, who had an impressive comeback to Win it on Monday Night on points.  I’ve said it and I’ll keep saying it: the points can literally be the difference between Winning and Losing (choose wisely).
    Great job Dawson!

ANNOUNCEMENT: while I do my best to get each & every pick correct, sometimes I make mistakes.  If I do mess up, just reach out to me (you can leave a comment below the post & I’ll fix it ASAP).  I need to know before the affected game Kicks Off, otherwise, that puts the rest of the field at a competitive disadvantage.  Sound good?

Alrighty.  Let’s get it on!

Enjoy the games everybody.  And Good Luck.
