Week 7 ends with a Monday Night beatdown.

Truth is, the shocker in the football game really is a microcosm of how this season has unfolded.

Every week there’s a couple of out-of-nowhere upsets that have thrown the entire field into disarray.

Take this past week as an example.

Nobody has Carolina scoring such a major upset over Tampa Bay.  Well, no one except for Dawn F and Jim M. (Great job nailing that one!)

Just look at tonight: everybody (outside of a few heads) took New England to Win.  And those that watched the ballgame know it was clearly over at the Half.

How can you predict this stuff?

The answer is you can’t!  Which is precisely why this game–and our Pick ‘Em community–is so fun.

It’s virtually impossible to predict what will happen on the playing field, and who will emerge from our Pick ‘Em field each week.

And yes, I will admit to enjoying these weekly horse races (of sorts) because there are so many surprises & twists and turns every week.

This Week 7 competition was the most spirited of the season, with several dozen folks in the mix up through the end of tonight’s game.

While 4 players stood taller than the rest, this marks the first time we’ve had to go to the points to determine our Champion – in Week 7.

That by itself was unforeseen.

But crown a Champion we did.

Our Week 7 Champ began the week in strong fashion by nailing the Thursday Night game.  That continued Sunday, knocking an astounding 10 out of the 12 games outta the park to remain tied for first.

The Monday Night affair made things interesting as the Winner was irrelevant, since the four frontrunners took the same team.

All that mattered was the score.

And by virtue of picking the highest total score, we secured our Champion!
