Week 9 is upon us in a flash.
And it appears we’ve suffered some casualties.
Honestly, we had a number of people that have grown frustrated with the results and stopped playing.
To be clear, there are players that expressed to me straight up that they got tired of watching the same players Win week in & week out.
Trust me…I feel your pain. I want to Win the Pick ‘Em my damn self.
But the only thing any of us can do is make quality picks and see if they pan out.
As a reminder, this is gambling. And as such, there are no guarantees to anyone. We all get an equal shot at the pot.
Further, since this is a competition among consenting adults, I presume that you understand all of this.
Let me be clear: this ain’t a shot at anyone in particular.
I’m just sayin’ that if you get frustrated, angry about the results, or upset you didn’t Win then you can choose whether you want to play…or not.
Either way, I thank you for participating and will always wish you the best of luck.
No one is guaranteed anything in life. And the same applies to football.
And gambling.
Anyways, on with the show.
So we’re a little light this week, as we have 37 players shooting at a $185 pot.
Pot’s right.
And here’s this week’s field:
(If I can drum up sommore folks, I will update this post with their picks before Kickoff tonight)
for the week
- the pot is $185
- there are 37 players
- this week the only unanimous pick is Kansas City over visiting Carolina (nobody liked this longshot).
- the underdog pick this week has Javi taking Dallas to top undefeated Pittsburgh at home. Pretty bold pick – that could pay off LAAAARGE if they Win!
- the reining Champ is Beany Y, that outlasted yours truly on points. But I’m not sore about it. I don’t hate Daniel Jones & the sorry a## Giants for costing me last week’s pot. No, not at all.
- friendly reminder: there will be action in The Playoffs – once The Playoff format is set, I’ll post specifics
That’s everything. For some of us, a football game will be a welcome diversion from watching stuck-in-the-mud election returns. Personally, I could watch either.
Of course I’ll be watching the damn ball game though.
So for those that are still here, thank you for your support.
And Good Luck.
