Week 2 has come upon us.
And in the early going, there’s plenty of twists and turns. For proof of that, look no further than those Week 1 scores.
That’s the beauty of the game for sure.
Before we get to that, let me take a moment to go over a bit of housekeeping.
We are fortunate to have so many new players this season.
As such, I think it’s important to note that our primary tiebreaker is the total points scored in the Monday Night Football game. That’s how our Week 1 Champion took home the bag.
But (unexpectedly) we’re looking at two Monday Night Games this week.
Now you’ll never hear me complain about more Football on TV. However, this does throw a wrench in the works.
The resolution to this circumstance is the Cleveland/Pittsburgh matchup will be our tiebreaker game this week.
The logic for this move is straightforward: New Orleans/Carolina Kicks Off an hour before the Cle/Pit matchup. Therefore, even if the NO/Car ballgame finishes last, the aforementioned game will serve as our tiebreaker.
(Please forgive the comic book villain vocabulary – I gets excited during the season)
Of course I do realize that not everyone got the memo, so here’s the audible: for those that want to change or adjust their tiebreaker points, you have up till Monday afternoon to make the switch.
The cutoff for making any points changes will be 5pm.
Obviously, we want to be fair to everyone – and this seems like the best way to do that.
Hell, if you think this is something, you wouldn’t believe that COVID season. That was insane!
Anyways, are we good?
Good. On with the show.
This week we’ve got 78 players in the mix shooting at a fat $390 pot.
(That’s our largest field ever folks!)
Pot’s right.
(for those that don’t know: when wagering moolah, once the pot is considered “right” that means that the Winner can expect to gain that amount. In other words, “the house” is guaranteeing that specific amount in the prize pool. Regardless of what happens, if you Win you get that money – no excuses)
Here’s this week’s field:
- the pot is $390 (WoW)
- there are 78 players
- Once again, every team on the schedule this week has been picked. Looks like the darts are covering the entire board yet again.
- Honestly, there are no real underdog picks this week. The action’s spread around pretty good. Yes, even NYJ, Houston, and Arizona have some solid support. Folks are still feeling things out.
- the reining Champ is G Wright, who had a thrilling Win on the strength of that epic Monday Night clash. The first Champion of the new season is back to his Winning ways!
ANNOUNCEMENT: while I do my best to get each & every pick correct, sometimes I make mistakes. If I do mess up, just reach out to me (you can leave a comment below the post & I’ll fix it ASAP). I need to know before the affected game Kicks Off, otherwise, that puts the rest of the field at a competitive disadvantage. Sound good?
Okay, that’s it. Enjoy the game everyone.
And good luck.
