WoW – what a Week 3!

Yes indeed, we had another crazy week of football.

These games man, I tell ya.  Who can predict this stuff?

But that’s the beauty of football season.  Just when you think you know something, to quote Al Michaels “Nobody knows anything.”

And that’s what makes The Fooball Pick’Em so much fun!  We get an opportunity every week to see who can nail down the impossible: namely predicting the Winners of Pro Football games.

Sometimes, it’s a lotta fun.  And sometimes, you have weeks like this.

Not gonna lie; this week we all got humbled.  Every single player missed on at least six ballgames.  Let’s face it, people.  Even the layups weren’t layups.

Carolina Won.  The winless New York team Won.  Three undefeated teams lost.

And nobody predicted any of that.

Naturally, that meant we’d have a tight race.  Which we did.

This week saw our leader from Sunday get caught by our Champ, who correctly picked the HUGE Monday Night upset!

Of course it wasn’t that simple.  After all the games were played, we had a three-way tie for First Place.

And some of you know what that means…we go to the tiebreakers!

Fortunately, the points tiebreaker determined our outcome.  Although with two Monday Night games some players went by the sheet and combined the points for both games.

This was addressed in the post that announced the field.  To quote that post

***This week the total points tiebreaker is for the Washington/Cincinnati game only***

For those points totals over 60, I will cut those totals in half for that game.  If you want to change your points, just give me a shout.

And to be fair, that’s how the competition was settled.  I kept a close watch & no one elected to change their points total.

So…Week 3 was settled on points.  I want to make it clear that the criteria for the tiebreaker was announced on Thursday.

Congratulations Osiris!  I know you were (literally) sweating this one out until the final whistle!  Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good, eh?
