Week 7: The Field Is Set

Week 7 is here & it’s time for some football.

In this wacky, crazy season it sure seems like every week is a crap shoot.

Funny thing is, I thought last week was unpredictable.  But once I took a good look at this week’s schedule, this tops last week!

I don’t know about you, but the majority of these games are toss-ups.

Hell, in damn near every matchup one can make a case for or against each team Winning the ballgame.

How can we be this far into the season and have such little clarity?

Think about it: who are the five best teams in Pro Football?

Granted, most would agree on maybe three teams.  The other two could be argued till the sun comes up.  And there still would be disagreement.

Or, how about this?  Who’s the worst team in The League?  In my personal opinion, no one team stands alone.

Yes, there are some bad teams.  But it’s hard to single any one out.

Of those bottom-tier teams, maybe a few have started slow, or gotten hit hard by injury, or perhaps some have new personnel that hasn’t gelled.  Hell, maybe some truly do suck.  It’s difficult to say.

And that’s the beauty of the Pick ‘Em.  Anyone that plays can Win!

It doesn’t matter if you’re a diehard fan of a team or a casual spectator.  These games are so unpredictable that truly anyone can Win.

It sure makes following it all a little more fun.

Let’s see how things shake out this week.

Heading into Week 7 we have 78 players shooting at a $390 pot.

Pot’s right.

(for those that don’t know: when wagering moolah, once the pot is considered “right” that means that the Winner can expect to gain that amount.  In other words, the house” is guaranteeing that specific amount in the prize pool.  Regardless of what happens, if you Win you get that money – no excuses)

Here’s the field:

FOR THE WEEK

  • the pot is $390
  • there are 78 players
  • there are no unanimous picks this week but Kansas City is the team heavily favored by the field.
  • the underdog pick this week shows Christina W picking Las Vegas to upset host Kansas City.  That’s definitely a brave soul right there.  But the truth is, it wouldn’t surprise me.  Good Luck Christina W!
  • the reining Champ is TC, in a crazy contested Win at the buzzeer!  He surged ahead late Sunday & held on through a rough-and-tumble Monday slate of games.  Great picks man!

ANNOUNCEMENT: while I do my best to get each & every pick correct, sometimes I make mistakes.  If I do mess up, just reach out to me (you can leave a comment below the post & I’ll fix it ASAP).  I need to know before the affected game Kicks Off, otherwise, that puts the rest of the field at a competitive disadvantage.  Sound good?

That’s it folks.  Thanks for playing this week.

As always, enjoy the games and Good Luck.
